WEYMOUTH MUSEUM, BREWERS QUAY, HOPE SQUARE, WEYMOUTH, DT4 8TR
In the spring of 2018 Weymouth Museum became a fully Accredited Museum by the Arts Council of England and now awaits the result of their Heritage Lottery Fund application for a grant to implement the new Weymouth Museum within the redeveloped Brewers Quay. After the sale of Brewers Quay the museum was closed but in March 2018 a temporary Museum opened in a new location within Brewers Quay which continues to be of interest to visitors and locals alike.
The museum is open weekly Tuesday to Saturday inclusive between 10.30am and 4.00pm from April to mid-November. The museum office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.
Weymouth Museum has a wide range of second hand books for sale and local history booklets on key topics of interest, cards and postcards from the museumís Local History archive. There is also a selection of new books on the history of Weymouth.
Weymouth Museum is entirely run by volunteers, so when you come in and visit us you will be supporting all our volunteers who work hard on keeping the museum alive and who are working towards the new 'Weymouth Museum'.
